Northumberland bungalow gets heat from an air source heat pump and solar thermal panels

A bunaglow in North East Northumberland is now being heated by an air source heat pump Geowarmth have installed.  This is an 8kW Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump positioned at the side of the property.  The property north east of Alnwick previously had electric storage heating which the owners were finding expensive to run.  Geowarmth removed the old electric heating and installed new radiators throughout the bungalow.  The radiators were sized to work well with low temperature hot water from the heat pump.  Low temperature operation with a heat pump means lower running costs for the client.

On the roof of the bungalow are two solar thermal panels which are connected to a hot water cylinder in the garage.  Like many of North East based Geowarmth’s projects this client is getting the benefit of more than one renewable technology.
